builds the
first commercially developed, low cost
Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV), Iver2, ideal for coastal applications such
as hydrographic
surveys and environmental monitoring. This next generation
vehicle is single man-portable and features simple point and
click mission planning. |

- Uses Standard geo referenced charts for mission planning, NOAA, USGS, Sat Image.
- Mission plan the vehicle(s) by click and drag, drawing a mission with the mouse or using visual tools like the lawnmower.
- Planning for multiple vehicle missions on the same map space.
- You can modify vehicle set points for each leg to a waypoint, speed, depth, special depth such as undulate or spiral dive for data collection.
- You can click and drag any waypoints to edit a mission.
- Program output is an ASCII mission file that can get copied to the Iver2 AUV using the
WiFi connection and start a mission.
- The time to plan a mission, copy to vehicle and start a mission can be under 1 minute in typical case.

|
|
- Plan three missions to be executed on different vehicles.
- Mission is launch from shore, drive to location and do a lawnmower sweep with
side scan sonar on.
- Return to beach, lower speed and drive up on the beach for recovery.
- Create three missions that can reduce the execution time from 6 hours to 2 hours by using 3 vehicles (teaming).
